Transparent, self-adhesive bedhead mat, 80 × 200 cm - premium protection for the wall behind the bed
Discreet wall protection. A perfect look for your interior.
The wall behind the bed is one of the areas most vulnerable to everyday dirt and damage. Contact with pillows, bed linen, the headboard or hands causes the paint to gradually wear away, leading to discolouration and stubborn stains. Over time, even a carefully finished bedroom loses its aesthetic appeal.
The Mathey System transparent headboard cladding has been designed to effectively protect the wall from everyday wear and tear, whilst remaining almost completely invisible. Thanks to the material's high transparency, it does not obscure the wall colour or decorative finishes, preserving the interior's original character.
This is the solution for those who expect durability, aesthetic appeal and the highest quality of workmanship.
Protection you can't see
The mat - a wall protector - is made from high-quality transparent material with enhanced resistance to abrasion and everyday wear and tear. It forms a durable protective layer, safeguarding the wall against:
- stains from bed linen and pillows,
- marks left by the headboard,
- scuffs and scratches,
- paint rubbing,
- discolouration resulting from everyday use.
Once fitted, the mat is virtually invisible, making it a perfect match for both modern and classic interior designs.
Self-adhesive installation without drilling or renovation
The wall panel is fitted with a professional self-adhesive layer, ensuring a durable bond to suitably prepared, smooth surfaces.
Installation is quick, clean and convenient - without the need for additional adhesives, tools or any damage to the wall.
Simply:
- Clean and degrease the surface.
- Peel off a section of the adhesive protective liner
- Place the section with the adhesive layer against the wall and press down; then, whilst slowly peeling back the protective liner and pressing the mat down at the same time, remove the remaining part of the protective liner
- Press the entire surface down firmly, e.g. using a cotton cloth or a pressure roller designed for GLASS-type film.
This solution allows you to protect the wall in a matter of minutes without the need for any renovation work.

! The result depends largely on the quality of the wall finish, the care taken during preparation (smoothing the surface, priming beforehand, surface cleanliness) and the application process itself. Any air pockets that may appear depend on the unevenness of the wall and the type of paint used on it. In most cases, the bumper can be easily removed without leaving any traces of the adhesive layer. More commonly, there may be reduced adhesion or the adhesive layer of the bumper may cause individual patches of paint to peel off (due to inconsistencies in the wall surface itself). It is recommended to carry out a test application on a small, inconspicuous area of the wall. It takes at least 24 hours for the adhesive's bonding particles to migrate into the wall surface; we recommend waiting a few days before subjecting the bumper to full load.
